adult bible fellowships

Sometimes called Sunday School “Adult Bible Fellowships” (ABF’s) are larger sized groups which focus on one's stage of life.

Young adults share together around challenges and information of that stage of life from a Bible perspective.

Sometimes they divide into “Married” and “Single” as needs dictate.

Middle-aged and older adult ABF’s also share issues and answers that confront their particular season of life.

Each ABF has a personality of its own and individuals are encouraged to choose for themselves which most speaks to their needs.

kidz rock

Here at Central, we love KIDZ!!

KIDZ ROCK is the children's ministry of Central Christian Church. The main goal of Kidz Rock is to help your children become followers of Christ. Our services are designed to teach your child to worship God through music, teaching from the Word, as well as reinforcing the princilples with games, crafts and fellowship. We believe that the commandment of Matthew 28:19-20, "to make disciples and teach them to do everything that Jesus commands them to do", applies to children as well as adults.

They are not only the future of the church, but they are the lifeblood of the church.

We want to become the ultimate creators of “Safe Environments.” A place where a parent feels safe in leaving their child not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually as well. If a kid feels that they are in a place where they can be themselves they will want to come back.

Student Ministries

The student ministry was created to give students the opportunity to hear the message of Jesus Christ in a way that is practical and applicable to them. It gives them an environment to feel comfortable in and be able to bring friends who might not want to come to a “regular church service”.

It consists of

-Small groups, which are mainly for the purpose of teaching, instruction, and accountability.

-Youth group on Wednesday nights which is for the purpose of creating the environment for both fellowship and biblical teaching.

-Random activities such as inner tubing, lock-ins, hiking, and other things which give the students opportunities to invite their friends to get to know the other Christian students.

We go to 3 youth conferences every year and 1 summer camp.

women's ministries

Ladies of Vision and Encouragement

The goal of the women's ministry at Central Christian is to help women grow spiritually and socially in their walk with God. We provide venues for spiritual growth. A spring women's retreat is planned yearly as well as small group Bible Studies that meet on a weekly basis. Several outings during the year are provided for fun and fellowship. A dinner and a movie in the fall is just one of the outings we enjoy. We are involved in the ministry of encouragement to all bereaved families. A meal is provided by the women's ministry after each funeral and meals are taken into homes when illness occurs.

Ladies of Vision and Encouragement strive to honor and obey God in every area. Col.3:17 Aand whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to him through God the Father. (NLT)

men's ministry

Band of Brothers

Central Christian seeks to create unique opportunities for men to encourage one another and form friendships. We center our calendar around events and activities that appeal to guys. Everything from motorcycle rides to the coast, to Blazer games, and quad riding, etc., we try to create connections which have caused some to use the description, Band of Brothers.

The men’s ministry welcomes newcomers. In fact one of the main purposes of the men's ministry is to give those not acquainted with Central Christian Church a chance to meet us on a relaxed, informal basis.

In addition, men are encouraged, prayed for, and strengthened in their journey through life at devotional breakfasts, dinners, camp-outs, etc., minister to inner spiritual growth.

Senior's ministry

Golden Agers

Senior citizens are important to Central Christian Church. Because they have come to the stage of life that lets them enjoy the returns on all the investments they have made throughout a lifetime of relationships, we sometimes call them the "Golden Agers"!

Many of our Golden Agers are active in Friday morning Bible study and various trips to interesting destinations. Others come together to make quilts and other amenities for missions and homeless shelters. They also actively mentor younger adults, thus forming close relationships with them.

Those who are a"shut in" also receive ministry from this group in the form of regular visits, cards and phone calls.

missions

Central Christian seeks to do our part in bringing the Gospel

to the world outside of our immediate vicinity.

In the late 1970's, one of our own members, Jeff Phillips, caught the vision to go to Chile, South America. Since that time he has not only built churches in Chile, he has equipped teams to go from Chile to the neighboring countries including Peru. Jeff's family works with him and continues his dreams of an ever expanding influence for Christ.

In 1993, another vision for a mission in El Salvador, Central America connected Central Christian with Jaffet Perez. Mr. Perez was working closely with a small congregation in the capital city, San Salvador. They needed backing to grow and expand.

At present, there are now two congregations and a third one in formation. A Spanish-speaking Bible college has been created to accommodate an increasing need for leadership, and an orphanage has been opened for the many children who are victims of poverty and starvation.

Although the mission to Chile and to El Salvador are partially supported by Central Christian's regular budget, much more is needed to adequately fund the daily needs of both. We ask those who feel so led to partner with us in this worthwhile cause.
